The gadget most on my mind today is the iPhone 3G S... I know everyone's talking about it and I like to generally blog about the more unusually gadgets, gizmos and inventions but this latest iteration of the iPhone does have some useful improvements.
Most noticeably the built in compass which helps you to orientate your position and the direction your facing when looking at maps, I know I'm going to find that feature extremely useful.
The video recording and editing has been a long time coming and should have been a feature from the very first version. Voice control and MMS are also more basic features which so many other smart phones already do but have been strangely absent from the iPhone.
With tweaks to the processor Apple now say that the iPhone 3G S is overall 2x faster than the previous version. I like the tethering feature too, although I can't see any service cellphone companies being thrilled about this. In fact most companies like T-mobile are very specific about not allowing this.
I think that Apple have answered many of the issued raised by critics of the iPhone with this new iPhone and the iPhone 3.0 Operating System, and if you (like me) were just waiting to see more of these basic features installed before you jumped on the band wagon and became and iPhone owner then now is the time to buy.
Apple have posted a vide guided tour on their side with one of those creepy-generic looking people with no surname that they claim work in "one of their stores" you can watch the vide
